Center for Career and Professional Development
Discover Your Calling. Grow in Community.
F&M's liberal arts model is at the heart of our Center for Career and Professional Development: receiving targeted, expert guidance while exploring a wide range of post-graduate paths to discover your professional calling and develop the skills you need to succeed. To help you navigate this exploration and discovery, our career guidance is structured through “career communities” – dynamic groups aligned with specific industries that transform your aspirations into clear options, meaningful opportunities, and a network of support.
You can join a career community that speaks to your calling, and even move freely between communities as your interests and plans naturally evolve. This model helps you to begin your career discernment process right away, and allow it to run parallel to and intersect with your entire undergraduate experience. You'll always have a place to belong as you find your way, gaining professional and expert insights, connections to experiential learning opportunities, direct access to an engaged network of successful alumni in the field, and a supportive community of fellow Diplomats who share your interests and professional goals.
