We are a group of students who love learning about the ins and outs of law. Guided by our wonderful advisor, Mike Vitlip, we work together to build case theories based on a fictional case provided by the American Mock Trial Association every year. Some of us take on the roles of attorneys, others act as witnesses, and after a period of preparation we meet up with Mock Trial teams from other schools across the country to participate in Mock Trial competitions! Our team consists of students of all class years and majors, and absolutely zero experience is necessary to join! To learn more, visit the F&M Mock Trial Instagram page or feel free to reach out to any of our officers with questions.
Last season, our team completed two invitationals at Elizabethtown College and Drexel University before competing at Regionals at American University. At the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Invitational, we placed second as a team after wins against the University of Delaware, Elizabethtown College, Shippensburg University, and Susquehanna University. Soseh Yepoyan and Jolie Rosenberg earned Top Attorney awards while Kyle Lanzilotti earned a Top Witness award. At the Drexel University Dragon Invitational, we won ballots against Villanova University and the University of Delaware. At the Regional Competition at American University, our two teams earned wins against American University, Lehigh University, and Elizabethtown College, in addition to competing against some of the nation’s top teams, including Rutgers University and University of Maryland-Baltimore County. We are enormously proud of our performance as a team last season and hope to do even better at this season's Zoom competitions at George Washington University’s Habeas Hippopotamus Invitational, University of Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational, and Carnegie Mellon University's Swear Me In, Scotty Invitational.
