End of Year Storage
This approved storage program has been set up to meet the storage needs of Franklin & Marshall students. There is no limit to the quantity of items to be stored. Perishable items will not be accepted. Students are NOT PERMITTED to store items in College owned buildings.
It is strongly suggested that you use standardized packing cartons and packing tape that will be available for sale in Ben's Underground at the end of the spring semester (dates to be announced). These cartons are uniform in size and are best suited for packing items to be stored. The storage cost is less expensive than with non-standard cartons.
PLEASE DO NOT OVERPACK BOXES.
- 1.5 cubic foot, small cartons (for books and papers)
- 3.1 cubic foot, med. cartons (for small computer monitors or pots and pans)
Students pay for their storage costs when they drop off their items at the truck. Credit cards and cash are accepted by the Groff's employee loading the items onto the truck. Checks are not accepted.
The LONG-TERM Summer Storage (April/May through August) charges are based on the size of cartons listed below.

New this year, Groff's has a new plastic tote box that is 21.5" X 15" width X 17" height. There is a cost of $45 for the rental of the tote. The student packs the tote with personal items. The $45 fee covers the rental of the tote, the handling fee, the storage fee through August, 2020, and delivery back to campus. The tote will have an identifying card inside that will be filled out and added to the card slot of the tote. If you choose this option you will schedule pick up of your tote(s) at the exit door of your residence hall and Groff's will pick them up. You will wait with your tote(s) until they are picked up. The totes will be returned to your residence hall entrance at the start of the Fall 2020 semester. In August, the student empties the totes and Groff's comes to campus to retrieve the empty totes. This eliminates the need for cardboard boxes and is more sustainable for the environment.
Groff's On Campus - Rear of Ware College House in parking lot off Race Avenue
Dates to be announced soon.
A NEW SERVICE - if a student wishes to pack their own room and have Groff's pick up the items in their residence hall room after they have left they can do that for an additional $60.00. All requests should be directed to Groff's and this service plus the storage must be prepaid.
IMPORTANT INFO: If students do not return in August for the Fall 2020 semester and their items are in storage, students will be billed an additional $25 per month until the items are retrieved.
Students may still use cardboard boxes for their personal storage. Those boxes will need to be taken to the truck when they are on campus. Print the forms out below to take to the truck with your items.
