Chelsea Pomponio is currently working towards the completion of her dissertation, entitled “Genealogy of the Body Politic: Brunetto Latini, Dante, Boccaccio, and the Legend of Florence’s Origins." Her research interests include the adaptation of the legendary origins of Florence from the Duecento to the Cinquecento; Italian historiography; medieval visual and popular culture; representations of tyranny and citizenship in Italian city-states.
