Cindy serves as the Operations Coordinator for the Faculty Center, assisting faculty, supporting the Center's director, and managing day-to-day logistics and activity in the space. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, having received her B.S In Individual and Family Studies (1985) and her M.Ed. in Counselor Education (1986).
Cindy began her professional career as an elementary and middle school counselor, serving in two local public school districts. After several years dedicated to motherhood, in 2007 she re-entered the workforce and joined the college as an employee of The POGIL Project. At POGIL, Cindy was the Coordinator for the High School POGIL Initiative, a grant-funded project tasked with creating curricular activities as well as providing teacher training workshops in the POGIL methodology. She moved into the Faculty Center Operations Coordinator position in 2014, soon after the HSPI grant project wrapped up.
In her free time away from campus, Cindy can be found reading or crafting, preferably with a glass of wine, walking her retired racing greyhound, enjoying sports (especially soccer), or traveling with her husband. Favorite destinations include visits to Boston and Pittsburgh to see her sons, Europe, and wherever the next Women's World Cup tournament will be taking place!
