Do we need tickets for the Ceremony?
Yes, tickets are required. The ceremony will take place in the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center (ASFC). Doors will open at 8:30 am. Each graduating senior will be given up to 5 tickets for their guests. Tickets can be picked up at the Cashier's Window, Steinman College Center weekdays April 27 - May 15. Seniors will need to present their F&M ID in order to pick up their tickets. Any unclaimed and returned tickets will be redistriburted to those who need more than the allotted 5 tickets. If you need additional tickets, please complete this form to be on the waitlist. As tickets become available begining May 5 (or earlier), graduating seniors will be notifed, in order of their request, that they have received additional tickets.
Will there be additional viewing locations on campus?
Yes, the ceremony will be simulaneously broadcast in the Ann & Richard Barshinger Center, which is a world-class, 500 seat seat concert hall. The setting is elegant and the atmosphere is acoustically vibrant. Additionally, there will be two other locations: Bonchek Auditorium, which is located in the Ann & Richard Barshinger Life Sciences & Philosophy Building , and Stahr Auditiorium, located in Stager Hall. Guests will be able to view the ceremony in comfort, and yet be close by to participate in the campus activites. Tickets are not required for these locations.
Can I watch the ceremony online?
Yes, the ceremony will be broadcast live through the College’s website (www.fandm.edu). That footage will also be available on-demand for a limited time following the day of the event.
Is there accessible parking and seating for guests with disabilities?
Yes, there is a convenient drop-off location and accessible parking and seating for guests with disabilities.
Reserved ADA seating is limited and advanced planning is strongly encouraged. In order to accommodate as many guests as possible in the reserved ADA seating area, guests will be permitted to have one companion accompany them.

Will there be an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for the ceremony?
Yes, there will be an American Sign Language interpreter on stage for the commencement ceremony.
Can we stay overnight on campus?
Yes, we have on campus accommodations in a residence hall that are available for parents and guests seeking a dormitory-style group living environment. Rooms are available Friday, May 15 & Saturday, May 16. Room rates are $75 for double occupancy and $55 for single occupancy, per night.
Check in will be held from noon until 7:00 p.m. Friday in the Bonchek College Commons. All guests must check out of their rooms by noon, Sunday, May 17. If you arrive after 7:00 p.m. Friday, you must notify Kendel Lyn Jackson at firstname.lastname@example.org and your key packet will be taken to the Office of Public Safety, off Race Avenue, for pick up. Bed linens are provided; you may wish to bring your own pillow. Towels and shower supplies are not provided.

While parents and guests often enjoy this opportunity to be “in residence,” please understand that residence halls do not offer private and personal accommodations. For those uncomfortable with a group living environment, we recommend making off-campus arrangements.
How can I locate a list of local overnight accommodations and restaurants?
A list of local restaurants and overnight accommodations is available at Dining and Staying in Lancaster. If making reservations for lunch following the ceremony, we recommend making your reservation for 1:30 pm and later, so that the graduates and families can enjoy the post commencement reception.
Where can we eat on campus?
Blue Line Cafe will be open on Friday, May 15 from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.; Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17 from 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. This location has delicious and healthy cafe food options.
There will also be a complimentary continental breakfast buffet served Saturday May 16 for all graduating seniors and their families at the Marketplace at Ben Franklin from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
What should I do about lost and found items?
Lost and found items will be held in two locations: The Information Desk in the Steinman College Center and the Information Desk at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
How can we order graduation announcements?
Graduation announcements, as well as many other graduation items including diploma frames, can be ordered at www.collegegrad.herffjones.com
Is there a F&M diploma display frame that we can purchase as a gift for our graduate?
Yes. The College partners with Diploma Display, an outside vendor, from whom you can purchase diploma display frames. Diploma frames are available for purchase at the Franklin & Marshall Bookstore, or on the Bookstore website, www.fandm.bncollege.com
How and when does my student order his/her cap and gown?
Caps and gowns must be pre-ordered at www.collegegrad.herffjones.com. Orders may be placed February 14 through March 1st. The Bookstore will send notice to seniors to begin ordering as well as many reminders. Payment of $56.98 + tax will be due when the caps and gowns arrive in mid-April. Students will be notified when the caps and gowns are available for pick up at the Bookstore. In the event students do not pre-order, there will be a limited quantity of caps and gowns available for purchase at the Bookstore through May 16, 2020.
How do I capture the Moment?
There will be a designated photo area to the left of the stage. Signage will mark the location. In addition, Commencement photographs can be purchased from GradImages. All students who participate in Commencement will receive an email from GradImages with instructions on how to order photographs. This email will be sent to the student’s F&M email account.
Will the Franklin & Marshall College Bookstore be open?
Yes, the Bookstore will be open on Friday, May 15 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, May 16 the Bookstore will be open 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and will also have an assortment of merchandise available for sale at the ceremony.
