Pete Durantine graduated from the University of Maryland University College. He is a founding publisher and editor of TheBurg, Harrisburg’s community newspaper. His journalism career includes writing and editing for Capitolwire.com, the first online news service in Pennsylvania, and reporting for the Associated Press, York Daily Record, Washington Business Journal and Roll Call. Durantine freelanced for the New York Times, Stateline.org, Central PA Magazine, Philadelphia Daily News, Reuters, Wilmington News Journal, Harrisburg Patriot-News, Harrisburg Magazine and Pennsylvania Heritage Magazine. Durantine published a novel, The Chocolate Assassin, in 2011.
