Generation Google Scholarships

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2021-2022 school year. The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance. The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications and we strongly encourage students that identify with groups historically excluded from the technology industry, including Women, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, to apply.

The John Lewis Fellowship is a new Humanity in Action Fellowship program in Atlanta, Georgia typically held during July and early August. SPHSP is a partnership of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, College of Dental Medicine, School of Nursing, and the Mailman School of Public Health. This is a rigorous program which includes Public Health coursework at Columbia University; hands-on field experience and immersion in a diverse, economically disadvantaged urban environment; seminars and lectures with public health leaders; and mentoring by faculty members, ensuring students' exposure to the breadth and importance of public health as a career option.

Teach and Learn with Georgia (TLG) is a progressive education movement initiated by the Georgian government and administered under the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science. TLG aims to improve Georgia’s nationwide foreign language proficiency in an effort towards further participation in the global community. Volunteer teachers will stay in Georgia for at least one year and experience once in a lifetime opportunities, such as getting familiarized with amazing Georgian customs and traditions by living with local families, experiencing unique Georgian folklore and cuisine by socializing with local communities, and learning the Georgian language. -

The TUSA Summer Scholarship Program provides 8 weeks of Chinese language and culture study in Taiwan at one of the country's premier universities. Open to US students (you may not be of Taiwanese or Chinese descent) with a minimum 3.0 GPA, this summer program lets you learn about Taiwan while acting as an ambassador for your home state and the US. No Chinese language skills are required.
2021 COVID-19 UPDATE: the 2021 TUSA program has several COVID-related changes: the program will be held virtually and all applicants must have had a minimum of one year of Mandarin study at the college level.
