Brooke Owens Fellowship Program for female first-years, sophomores, juniors or seniors interested in pursuing a career in aerospace, regardless of their major. Deadline: December 5.

Leadership Alliance/Summer Research-Summer Research Early Identification Program (Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM Summer Research)* for first-years, sophomores, and juniors, especially from populations historically underrepresented, intending to pursue a PhD or MD-PhD in the humanities, social sciences and physical sciences. Minimum GPA of 3.0 required. Deadline: February 1.

Saltire Scholarship (Scotland) for first-years, sophomores, juniors, seniors, or alumni, who are citizens of the US, Canada, China, and India, pursuing a year of undergraduate or graduate study at any institution in Scotland. Special attention to studies devoted to any one of these sectors: creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy. Deadline: May 1.

Women Techmakers Scholars Program (Google) for female first-years, sophomores, juniors, seniors, or alumnae pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in computer science or a related field. Deadline: December 1.

Harvard-Amgen Scholars Program* for sophomores or juniors pursuing careers in biotechnology. This is a 10-week faculty-mentored residential summer research program. Deadline: February 1.

Barry S. Goldwater Scholarship Program* for sophomores or juniors with an outstanding demonstrated record of pursuing a research career in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering. Deadline: January 7.

DAAD Research Internships for Science and Engineering (RISE) for sophomores or juniors at time of application majoring in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, physics and life science interested in conducting research during the summer with doctoral students at German universities. German language skills not required. Deadline: December 15.

IST Austria ISTernship for sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in conducting research during the summer in Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and interdisciplinary studies. Deadline: February 15.

FAO Schwarz Fellowship for graduating seniors interested in pursuing a career in the non-profit sector. This two-year paid fellowship places awardees at participating non-profits, and provides professional training and mentoring. This fellowship posts positions by November 1. Application deadline is February 15.

Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship for seniors or alumni pursuing teaching credentials committed to teaching in the US. Deadline: November 27.

National Institute of Health PostBac Intermural Research Training Award* for seniors or recent alumni intending to apply to graduate or professional programs (medical/dental/pharmacy). This opportunity fellows an opportunity to spend 1-2 years performing full-time research at the NIH. Admission is rolling but applicants must apply at least 4 months before anticipated start date.
