Franklin & Marshall has a long history of academic excellence and welcoming talented students from all backgrounds. That is reflected in the College’s consistent placement among the country’s top 50 liberal arts colleges and in the record number of applications for the Class of 2027 — nearly 9,500 submitted applications from students representing 48 states and 129 countries.
F&M remains committed to meeting the institutionally determined financial need of all deserving students. It is also dedicated to recruiting talent regardless of background. To that end, F&M now offers merit aid on a limited basis.
Merit aid and need-based aid are not mutually exclusive. The merit of our students is unrelated to their economic status. By strategically balancing our use of merit aid and need-based aid, we can better build an inclusive class of students that we know will thrive at F&M and go on to lead lives of success and meaning in the years following graduation.
