Americans Who Tell The Truth

Martin Library of the Sciences

September 27–November 15, 2016

This exhibition features twelve portraits from Shetterly's traveling exhibition of American citizens who address issues of social, environmental, and economic fairness.  These select portraits highlight those Americans whose stance against book-burning plays a thematic role in Professor James Strick's Fall 2016 Environmental Studies course, "Nuclear Power, Weapons, and Waste Disposal."  The portraits will be displayed on the first floor of the Martin Library of the Sciences and will be up during the American Library Association's Banned Books Week.

Opening Reception:  September 26,  5 pm, Martin Library of the Sciences

Gallery Talk by Robert Shetterly:  September 27,   5 pm, Martin Library of the Sciences
