Advancing the Mission

Franklin & Marshall’s relationships with corporations and foundations serve the College’s mission of advancing knowledge and discovery within both its student body and faculty. Corporate and foundation grants are one of the most effective means of supporting education, research and scholarship so that F&M can continue to enhance the academic programming that distinguishes the College at the leading edge of liberal arts education.

The Office of College Grants exists to support scholarly and creative pursuits of faculty, students and staff and the strategic priorities of the institution—whether raising funds to launch F&M’s new Faculty Center or supporting student research projects.

PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program

Pennsylvania's well-established Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program offers businesses an incredible opportunity to direct a portion of their state tax dollars to educational improvement organizations such as Franklin & Marshall, which use the funds to support innovative educational programs that directly benefit students in Pennsylvania's public schools.

The two approved educational programs operated by Franklin & Marshall and its higher education and public school partners—Pennsylvania College Advising Corps and Poetry Paths in the Schools—impact the educational experiences of more than 12,000 elementary, middle and high school students annually. The programs' benefits extend to more than 18 schools in 14 districts spread across Adams, Franklin, Huntingdon, Centre and Lancaster counties.
