International Research: January 2019 CAORC Deadlines

Planning to conduct research overseas? Consider CAORC-hosted fellowships due on January 23, 2019.

The Council of American Overseas Research Centers offers a NEH Senior Research Fellowship for four to six consecutive months in a country that hosts "a participating American overseas research center." Eligible countries include: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka, and Tunisia. Stipends are $5,000 per month.

CAORC also offers a Multi-Country Research Fellowship Program that "supports advanced regional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences" in two or more countries outside the US, at least one of which must host "a participating American overseas research center." Applicants may apply as individuals or in teams for up to $11,000 per award.

Each Overseas Research Center additionally may offer country-specific fellowships or grants - check them out!
