Enabling Healthy Decisions

The goal of the Office of Student Health and Wellness Education is to provide students with the resources, educational programs, and support necessary to enable them to make decisions that will affect their health and well being during their college years and throughout adulthood. Within a holistic health framework, health education includes stress management, nutrition, exercise and fitness, issues relating to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and sexual health including decision-making and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Additional programs include asthma, hypertension, protection from skin cancer, eating disorders, sleep patterns, and safety issues, such as prevention of sexual assault.

Students have many demands on their time. It is important to give information that is relevant to their stage in life and to give it in a format that is easily accessible and succinct.
