  • Give Matching Gifts

More than 8,000 companies offer corporate matching programs for their employees’ philanthropic interests.  F&M recognizes donors for the sum of their contributions plus matching gifts received during the fiscal year.  Retirees, board members and spouses of employees may also be eligible for matching gift benefits.  For more information, contact F&M Advancement Services at 717-358-4408 or search for your employer in our database.

  • Give by Donor-Advised Fund

    What is a donor-advised fund?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like a charitable savings account. When you make an irrevocable gift to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program, you get an immediate tax deduction and can recommend later how much and how often money is granted to F&M or other charities.

    How does it work?
    • Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.
    • Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free).
    • Recommend grants to qualified public charities of your choice.

If you choose to recommend a grant to F&M from your DAF, please ask the sponsoring organization to send checks made payable to “Franklin & Marshall College” to one of the following addresses.

    VIA U.S. MAIL TO:
    Franklin & Marshall College
    Office of College Advancement
    Attn: Advancement Services
    PO Box 3003
    Lancaster, PA  17604-3003

VIA FEDEX, UPS & COURIER DELIVERY TO:
    Franklin & Marshall College
    Office of College Advancement
    Attn: Advancement Services
    415 Harrisburg Ave.
    Lancaster, PA  17603

F&M’s federal tax identification number is 23-1352635.

To avoid tax penalties, a DAF may not be used to make a payment on an existing pledge to F&M, and a new pledge may not be made if the intention is to use a DAF to fulfill the pledge.
