Take and Submit an ID Card Photo
All Franklin & Marshall employees are issued an official F&M employee ID.
The opportunity to have your picture taken for your F&M employee ID card is availalble on campus through Auxiliary Services. However, new employees who would like to provide a picture are invited to submit a passport-style digital photo to be used in the creation of their employee ID card. Follow the steps below to take and submit an ID card photo.
Step One: Refer to the New Employee Orientation email you received from Human Resources. Your unique F&M ID number is included in the email. Write it down, as you will need it later in this process.
Step Two: Have someone take your picture with a camera or cell phone. Stand in front of a white or off-white wall, no less than 4 feet away from the camera or cell phone.
* No hats, sunglasses, etc. See passport guidelines.
* Photo should include shoulders and plenty of space above your head.
Step Three: Crop your photo using the photo tool offered on the U.S. Department of State website.
* Save the cropped photo as "CROPPED-IMG - #". (Replace "#" with your F&M ID number from Step One.) Save this photo to a place that is easily accessible, as you will need to attach and email it later in this process. Your photo should look similar to this:
Step Four: Email your cropped (actual size) to IDPhoto@fandm.edu.
The Auxiliary Service Office will confirm that your image follows the passport photo guidelines and produce your new ID card. Twenty-four (24) hours after your approved photo is submitted to Auxiliary Services, your ID card may be collected from their office, located on the first floor at Steinman College Center, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm. A photo ID (driver's license or passport are acceptable) will be required for you to pick up your employee ID.
