Based on federal regulations pertaining to providing fringe benefits coverage to faculty and professional staff designated as "full-time", individuals hired for part-time positions are limited to:

a) no more than 29 work hours per week, and

b) no more than 999 work hours per employment year.

Any faculty or staff member hired for a part-time or adjunct position will need to work under 30 hours per week and no more than 999 per year (if an individual holds two part-time positions with the College, he/she may work no more than a total of 999 hours per year).

Additionally, part-time personnel, other than adjunct faculty members, will need to be paid by the hour and  track their work hours via time sheets vs. being paid a stipend or on a salaried basis.
