Spring 2018 Fitness Class Schedule 

 Classes will be held in the 1787 Space of The Student Health and Wellness Center.

REGISTER TODAY!

  • Register for a specific class for the entire semester. Fee is $50 
  • Unlimited Pass.  Attend any class at any time.  Fee is $80 for the semester.
  • Five class card.  Fee is $20 for 5 sessions.  Please bring a copy of your receipt to the class and present to the instructor.  Instructor will issue you a pass for 5 punches.  Try different classes and times to suit your schedule. Pass expires5/3/18.
  • Single session pass.  Fee is $5.  Buy a pass for a single class to try it out.   Please bring a copy of your receipt to the class and present to the instructor.  Use for any of the classes offered.  Pass expires 5/3/18.

Class Descriptions

Yoga: Integrate the spirit, mind and body.  Our Yoga classes incorporate centering meditation, Pranayama (breath work), warm ups, Asana (postures) and guided relaxation. These classes are tailored to fit the needs of beginner to advanced practitioner. Participant must bring their own exercise mat. Blocks and straps are recommended.  Mats can be purchased at the campus bookstore.  Mats, blocks and straps can be  purchased at local retail stores such as or places such as Target, Kmart, Walmart, etc.  They are also available from many online locations.

Body Fit: Take fitness to a higher level! Improve your strength and muscle tone with interval exercises and body weight conditioning.  Participant must bring their own exercise mat.

ZUMBA®: Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program. Fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone your body while burning fat. Participant must bring their own exercise mat.

Mindfulness Yoga: Give your body and mind a rest with easy yoga poses, a brief meditation, and a long guided relaxation. Loosen tight muscles, still your mind, and forget about the stress of your day. No experience required.  Participant should bring their own exercise mat. This class is sponsored by the Mindfulness Committee.  No registration or fee is required for this class.

 

Join The Adult Swim Group

When: Practices are Mondays and Wednesday from 12-1 at the AFSC.

Who: Open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members at least 18 years of age and older. *Must be able to swim 100 yards (4 lengths) without stopping.

What: Come swim with the F&M master's swimming group. Improve your swimming technique, reach your fitness goals, meet new friends and enjoy swimming!

Cost: $50/ month. Membership is month to month basis.
