F&M alumni discuss America's financial future

Fine-tuning the balance between free markets and government regulation is among the challenges facing the United States following 2008’s economic meltdown, according to three Franklin & Marshall alumni who have their hands on the scale: Jeffrey M. Lacker, Ph.D., ’77, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond; Eric W. Noll ’83, P’09, an executive vice president with NASDAQ; and Mary L. Schapiro, Esq., ’77, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
