History Lesson, Fall 2017

How many Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers can fit into a 1955 Austin-Healey convertible? Well, for the brothers of F&M’s Alpha Theta chapter in 1959, the answer was 31, plus one canine mascot named “Saturday.” After testing the limits of the car, the group headed inside, and jammed 39 brothers into the house’s five-by-10 foot telephone closet. Both totals were documented and reported by the Lancaster New Era, and considered “official” college records by the brothers of Lambda Chi!
