Maya Greenshpan was born and raised in Jerusalem. She graduated from the Hebrew University Secondary School, where she majored in Hebrew literature.

Maya lived for 15 years in Florence, Italy. After completing a degree in fine arts and graphic design, she worked as a graphic designer in the fashion industry, and as a Cultural Arts Assistant.

In the US Maya completed a degree in communication and a Master's degree in Jewish Education from Gratz College. She is interested in innovative pedagogy and experiantial and high impact learning. 

Maya is an alumna of the Stanford d.School for Design Thinking and is a member of the F&M's Creativity and Innovation Initiative. 

At Franklin & Marshall, Maya teaches courses in Hebrew and Italian and leads the 2021 CIFOW (Creativity, Innovation and the Future Of Work) summer reasearch program.
