The Pennsylvania Annual Migration Count (PAMC) was established to gather yearly data on migratory bird populations, and to help answer some fundamental questions regarding their distribution throughout Pennsylvania. It is an annual one-day snapshot of bird populations within the state, taken on the second Saturday in May.
This year's count and the results are amazing! Who knew so many birds call Millport home? And we have a wide variety. Two Indigo Buntings and a Great Blue Heron were among the birds sighted by Dave Kubitsky on May 10. Here's the whole list:
