The Dr. E. Paul & Frances H. Reif Professor of Geoscience Carol de Wet has been elected to the Geological Society of America Fellowship.
Grants and Awards:
Assistant Professor of Spanish and Linguistics Jessica Cox received a $10,000 grant from "Language Learning: A Journal of Research in Language Studies" and a $6,000 Franklin Research Grant from the American Philosophical Society, both to support her language research, "Individual differences in language experience: Bilingual effects on cognition."
Associate Professor of Geosciences Andrew de Wet received a $40,140 grant to research lava-water interactions in Iceland and Assistant Professor of Geosciences Paul Harnik received $22,203 to study the human impacts in coastal ecosystems in the northern Gulf of Mexico. The grants were awarded through the Keck Geology Consortium.
