James Spencer, the William G. and Elizabeth R. Simeral Emeritus Professor of Chemistry, has been named a lifetime fellow of the American Chemical Society for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science. Spencer is past recipient of the society's George C. Pimentel Award, the highest award for teaching chemistry in the country; the Northeast ACS’ James Flack Norris Award; and Franklin & Marshall College's Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award.

The American Mathematical Society features Professor of Mathematics Annalisa Crannell in a podcast on Making Art Work. Crannell "explains perspective and finding the spot from which to view art to see the work as the artist did." Hear the podcast.
