Shadek Stadium’s Opening Ushers in New Homecoming Tradition

Blue-sky sunshine warmed fall’s crisp air for the opening of Shadek Stadium Oct. 21, ushering in an era of new traditions for Franklin & Marshall College’s Homecoming & Family Weekend.

Just across Harrisburg Pike from the former home of F&M football, Sponaugle-Williamson Field, the multipurpose facility has realigned football game tailgates to North Campus, but the Homecoming Tailgate remained under the big tent on Hartman Green.
