October 19-23, 2020, is National Transfer Student Week. Here at F&M, we are spotlighting some of our favorite transfer students! First up is Braden Renke, a student-athlete and advocate for mental health on the F&M campus. She is a leader in a wide variety of campus initiatives and organizations.

NAME: Braden Renke, Class of 2022

MAJOR: Psychology on a pre-med track

HOME TOWN: Norwood, N.J.

Why did you choose to transfer to Franklin & Marshall?

"I had originally looked at F&M during my college search. I was going through a difficult time in my life and needed a change. I came to F&M and felt at home on campus and knew it was the place for me. I loved the academic rigor, the high-caliber athletics, and the opportunities F&M had to offer on campus."

What has been your favorite part of your F&M experience since you joined the community?

"Creating and legitimizing The Pizza Project. It’s a sentimental organization to me, and I have been so grateful for the overwhelming support. I am so excited to continue growing the organization and breaking the stigma associated with mental health on campus by providing resources that can help every student on campus."
