Clean Energy Careers: Coffee Career Chat with F&M Alum
Presented by: Victoria Hallas '11, Aaron Hoffman '17, Adam Polis '15, and Fei Wang '09
During this program attendees will connect with and learn from alumni with expertise across a variety of clean energy careers. Participants who join will learn about different clean energy careers and how to enter the field either as a recent graduate or as a professional making a career pivot into clean energy. Panelists will describe the scope, responsibilities, and goals for specific projects on which they've worked, will share their backgrounds and pathways into the field, and will talk about a "day in the life" of their chosen professions. There will also be opportunities for participants to join the conversation and pose questions to the group. Alumni panelists include:

Taking Care of Yourself By Setting Boundaries
Presented by Anjé McLish '16, Staff Counselor at Drexel University.The holiday season can be a time when healthy personal boundaries are tested and challenged. As we think ahead to what will be a very different holiday season for many of us, this program will help you navigate, manage, and clarify healthy boundaries. Boundaries can be saying "no," and having various ways of expressing to others and ourselves that we need to put ourselves first and do what's good for our mental well-being. This discussion will include boundaries with others, boundaries with self, recognizing how we feel when we establish and maintain boundaries, and everything in-between.

#MeToo: What You, Too Should Know about Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

What considerations should employees and managers, alike, be aware of in the context of sexual harassment and sex discrimination at work? Meredith and Puja are employment law attorneys who have each represented management and individuals effectively in a variety of employment discrimination and harassment claims in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. They will present their perspectives on behalf of employers and employees, respectively, and present information you can use as a foundation to help identify, report, prevent, and reduce the risks associated with sexual harassment at work.
This webinar will define sexual harassment and sex discrimination; clear up misconceptions about what does and does not constitute sexual harassment under the law; and discuss mid- and senior-level supervisors’ responsibilities to their employees and to management when faced with a complaint. Mindfulness in Leadership

“Mindfulness” has become a common term that can have a very broad definition. Often confused with ‘meditation’ or assumed to merely be synonymous with ‘relaxation’, this webinar will explore ‘mindfulness’ as the ability to be acutely self-aware and present in each moment; being both an observer and participant in one’s thoughts and feelings simultaneously.
Studies have shown that leaders who commit to a practice of mindfulness see increased effectiveness in several key leadership capabilities, including collaboration, ability to solve complex problems, and coaching.
Krista (Willenbrock) Kondravy is an ’89 F&M grad with a long history of business leadership at the executive level. A recent student to the practice of mindfulness, she will share stories of her personal journey with mindfulness, including practical applications and their impact on her leadership effectiveness.
Participants will also be introduced to several useful resources to build or enhance their own mindfulness practice.
