Important Updates

  • F&M will postpone students’ return to campus by two weeks. Move-in for students living in college-owned housing will begin on Saturday, Jan. 29 (instead of  Sunday, Jan. 16). Read the Dec. 30 message to the community for more information.

  • Classes will start as planned on Jan. 18 but will be conducted remotely. There will be no in-person classes Jan. 18 through Friday, January 28. In-person classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 31, public health conditions permitting. In addition, the opportunity for in-person social events will be significantly limited during this time.

  • We ask for your patience as we work to fine-tune the details for and provide you with the information you need to plan for your spring return. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates throughout January via email and the website.

  • Masks are required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, in ALL indoor spaces with the exception of your personal living space (including hallways and bathrooms of residence halls) or work space, and in athletic facilities when engaged in training, competition, or active recreational use per NCAA guidelines. This mask mandate will be in effect until further notice.
