How To Request a Transcript

An academic transcript is a record issued by the College to communicate a student’s full academic history.  The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) requires that transcripts of student records be released only upon the written consent of the student.

Franklin & Marshall College has partnered with Parchment for all transcript services.  Current and former students will be prompted to set up an account in order to request electronic or paper transcripts through the Parchment Exchange.

  • Transcripts remain free of charge for all current and former students.
  • Transcripts will be issued only if all financial obligations to the College have been met.
  • Both hard copies* and electronic copies bear the official college seal.
  • Students who attended in 1987 or earlier, please allow additional (3-5) days for processing your order.
  • Step-by-step instructions can be found here on how to use Parchment Exchange.

*Please note that the office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from  4:30 pm on Friday, November 19 until 8:00 am on Monday, November 29.   Hard (paper) copy transcripts will be mailed out upon our return on the 29th.  Electronic transcripts will continue to be automatically processed during our absence.
