Sonia Elliott currently serves as Director of Employer and Community Partnerships, in the Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. Her extensive background in leading higher education initiatives and cultivating community and corporate partnerships has allowed her to strengthen existing relationships across industries and sectors for the benefit of F&M College students and graduates.
Sonia began her career in higher education in Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently served for several years as the Dean of Penn’s W.E.B. DuBois College House, where she regularly collaborated with faculty, academic services and administrative departments in delivering educational and cultural programming to her undergraduate College House residents. As she pursued further graduate studies, Sonia went on to serve as Special Assistant to Temple University's Dean of Education and as a College Outreach Coordinator for the Philadelphia’s Mayor’s Office as part of the PhillyGoes2College campaign. Before coming to Franklin and Marshall College, Sonia served as the Director of External Affairs for Foundation Academies, a Charter Management Organization.
Sonia received her B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and her Masters of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
