Diplomat Squash’s many successes—and those of its graduates—must be reflected in and enhanced by the way we fund and operate this vital program.

Our goal: to continue improving F&M Squash’s competitive edge and enhance its reputation as a top national program.

Why this is important: Equipment, training, technology, travel—these are more critical than ever for our success as a team.

What continued quality requires: resources like those of other top programs.

How it works: Top squash programs operate using three budget resources—operating budget; annual giving; and the proceeds from endowed funds dedicated to their teams.

Good news: Our fundamentals are in place.

Budget. F&M is committed to a strong athletics program and to squash’s continued success. The College continues to provide consistent annual budgetary support.

Diplomat Athletic Club (Annual Giving). F&M alumni, parents and friends provide tens of thousands of dollars in annual support for team operations.

Endowment. A generous alumnus’s $100,000 commitment to create the F&M Squash Endowment Fund will, when fully funded, help secure the program’s budget in perpetuity, guaranteeing a steady revenue stream.

• $70,000—current fund balance

• $100,000—fund balance at which disbursements begin

The donor invites fellow alumni, parents and friends to help build the fund as quickly as possible.

F&M Squash has been a great program for 50 years. How much better we make it is up to us. Please:

  • Add to the F&M Squash Endowment Fund. The more we endow, the more annual revenue the fund will produce. The more quickly the fund reaches $100,000, the sooner the squash program can begin using its proceeds.
  • Make an annual gift for F&M Squash through the Diplomat Athletic Club. These funds are available to the team immediately. This year, give in honor of the team’s 50th anniversary.
