Stephanie N. Kessler is the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership.

She was formerly a Student Development Adviser with Franklin & Marshall’s Office of Student & Post-Graduate Development (OSPGD).  She advised students of all class years from Bonchek College House and provided workshops and programming related to career exploration and development. Stephanie was also the Associate Manager, Student Employment.  In that role, she worked with the Student Employment Manager and served as the contact and source of information for students, student supervisors, faculty, and administration.  

Stephanie has been employed by F&M since January 2011 and has worked in several different roles in OSPGD including Career Specialist, 2013 Franklin Innovation Challenge coordinator, Coordinator of Local Employer Partnerships, and Associate Director of Operations.  She is the past Chair of the Professional Staff Luncheon Committee, which plans and hosts at least four programs each academic year, designed to provide the professional staff with the opportunity to:  share information and knowledge about campus-wide initiatives; learn about colleagues’ roles within their departments and divisions; and build relationships.  

Prior to working at OSPGD, Stephanie spent the majority of her career working in public relations, marketing, and fundraising.  Having also been an entrepreneur, Stephanie is adept at strategic planning and building relationships with different constituents.   Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland College Park where she was a student-athlete.  She is a graduate of Leadership Lancaster, and was a member of the Franklin & Marshall College Toastmasters club for seven years, holding a variety of board positions.  She was also a Girl Scout Leader for five years, for both Brownie and Junior level troops. 

Stephanie and her husband reside in Lancaster with their two children, who are enrolled in the School District of Lancaster.
