Why did you decide to attend F&M?
I felt an immediate comfort level from the second I stepped onto the campus at F&M that I hadn't experienced on other campuses. From the gorgeous campus with people milling around to the small class sizes and wide variety of subject matters, my confidence in F&M only grew as I continued to research the school.
What are you favorite memories of your time on campus?
There's no one memory that I can specifically pick out from my time at F&M as a "favorite." More than anything, it was a series of moments of growth and friendship and academia that blurred together as an unforgettable span of time. I will always have a special place in my heart though for weekend walks to Central Market and loading up on the amazing food.
What activities did you participate in as a student?
I was a member of the Students for Students improv troupe and on the Cheer Squad.
Tell us a little bit about your career path and your current job.
I'm a client services lead at a privately owned boutique advertising agency in Manhattan.
Do you have any activities or hobbies you do outside of work?
I'm on the board of an incredible 501c(3) organization that does extensive outreach to at-risk youth, inspiring them to embrace the arts through exposure to a classical ballet company. When I'm not working or volunteering, I love to spend my time doing yoga and seeking out the best food in the city.
Why did you decide to volunteer for your alma mater?
Volunteering has given me a way to stay involved with the College and connected with fellow alumni. My time at F&M was incredibly meaningful to me, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to impact the experiences of others.
What would you say to fellow alumni who are on the fence about volunteering with F&M?
Do it! The beautiful thing about volunteering with F&M is that you can make it as big or small of a commitment as you want. There's no feeling like the one you get when you share your skill set with a place that helped create that same skill set.
Do you have a favorite moment/highlight of your time as a volunteer? If so, what was it?
The "toast" events to welcome the incoming class of alumni is always my favorite event of the year. It's great to meet our newest members, and it always reminds me of how exciting that time of life was.
Favorite book or quote?
"The Other Boleyn Girl" (or almost anything by Philippa Gregory).
Interesting fact/something people might not know about you?
My closet is color-coded.
