If you’re looking for a safe, open, and casual place to share your writings, work on them, or just gain ideas and read, come to the Writers House at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings for The Nest. As writers and as college students of all majors we often have to create written material, but we rarely have the chance to read it aloud and get it peer-reviewed in a comfortable setting. The Nest will provide an environment for exactly this; students will be able to share their written work of any kind--creative, academic, and otherwise--and receive feedback and constructive criticism. We hope to establish a community through this workshop. Everyone is welcome. If you need a space to share your independent writing or writing for classes, or you’re just looking for a place to hear other people’s work and think, The Nest offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, complete with coffee and snacks.
If you have questions, please email Joe Yamulla (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Teresa Norman (email@example.com).
The Sad Seniors Writing Group is a student run creative writing workshop for fiction and non-fiction writing aimed towards MFA applications. Each workshop, everyone is expected to mark up each other’s pieces and write a short note to the author about their thoughts on the piece. Meetings will be held weekly and will include food, literary discussion, and a lot of fun!
