The F&Mily That Plays Together...
The moment they first step onto campus, students at Franklin & Marshall become members of our F&Mily for life. Our students graduate to be leaders in their fields, in their communities and in the world, but they always have a home at F&M. Current students and recent graduates are also our future alumni leaders, who help convey to our alumni, parents and friends the importance of giving and demonstrate the value of lifelong loyalty. The College has developed a variety of programs to encourage and cultivate student and young alumni leadership—and to help sustain the feeling of community that extends beyond the bounds of campus.
Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) are an important part of the Franklin & Marshall community, representing nearly 20 percent of the F&M alumni population. As new alumni transition from campus life busy with classes, clubs and sports to lives beyond F&M, relationships with the College can continue in many ways. To stay engaged with F&M, check out the resources below:
- Join F&M's online community—create a profile and search for other alumni.
- Give back—GOLD alumni giving is critical to the life of the College. In October, we celebrated GOLD Giving Month. In March, we'll celebrate the GOLD Chapter Challenge. Get in on the action by checking out the GOLD Chapter Challenge headquarters!
- Get involved—regional alumni chapters offer opportunities to volunteer for and participate in special events in your area and back on campus.
- Make connections—join fellow F&M alumni on social media.
The Senior Campaign (formerly First of Many Campaign) is a long-standing tradition for seniors to make gifts to the College that create a lasting legacy and help future students at F&M, just as alumni, parents and friends support current students with their generous gifts.
Throughout the year we look forward to the senior class celebrating and creating many more lasting memories together, culminating with Senior Toast on the Thursday before Commencement, when we will present our class gift to President Porterfield.
How can you help our class and F&M? Lead by example and make your gift to the College! Visit the Senior Campaign headquarters to learn more.
To get involved, contact Assistant Director of Student and Young Alumni Engagement Rosie Blair '15 at (717)-358-5875 or email@example.com.
Franklin & Marshall Alumni Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) allows current students to deepen their connection with F&M and explore opportunities for remaining actively engaged with the College after graduation. ALOT students are committed members of the senior class who desire to act as leaders for their respective classes upon becoming alumni.
Through monthly meetings, ALOT members learn about the inner working of the College (including information about the Alumni Association, Board of Trustees and the organization of the College) as well as how to stay involved after graduation. During the course of the year, members work on projects to engage and connect members of the F&M community. ALOT members act as College ambassadors at events where alumni are on campus – Homecoming & Family Weekend and Alumni Weekend.
