Perspectives on Equality and Community

Gloria Steinem is an activist, author and feminist. Recorded Sept. 9 in Mayser Gymnasium at Franklin & Marshall College.

As a feminist and activist, Gloria Steinem’s voice is one of the loudest when it comes to matters of inequality. Since the 1960s she has fought against social injustice, using her journalism skills to bring controversial issues, such as the treatment of women in marriages, the workplace and even Playboy clubs to the public’s attention. She is the co-founder of Ms. Magazine, as well as the Women's Action Alliance and the Ms. Foundation for Women.
