Ann D. Gordon is a Research Professor Emerita at Rutgers University and is the editor of the papers of Susan B. Anthony. She is a feminist scholar and thinker. This Common Hour was an insightful and intergenerational consideration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Gordon told us how we might celebrate the 19th Amendment, and what she calls a "complicated win for women." This Common Hour contextualized, troubled, and celebrated the 19th Amendment in an informative, community-based, and academic genre.

This event was proposed by Chelsea Reimann and is sponsored by Alice Drum Women’s Center; Office of the President; Office of Student Affairs; Office of the Provost; Philadelphia Alumni Writers House; English; Women’s, Gender, & Sexualities Studies; Office of Multicultural Affairs; History; and LGBTQ+ Student Life.
