Biography

Originally from Newark, Delaware, Claire grew up in a vibrant college town where academic and community life were closely connected. From a young age, she was actively involved in university-led programs—summer camps, fundraisers, volunteer initiatives—which gave her a firsthand look at the transformative impact higher education can have on individuals and communities. It was clear early on that her path would lead her to a career in higher education.

As an undergraduate at Millersville University, Claire immersed herself in campus life through music, student organizations, and leadership roles. She found a particular passion for enrollment work while serving as a Student Admissions Ambassador and later as a Coordinator with the Admissions Office. With Lancaster becoming her chosen home, Franklin & Marshall College felt like a natural next step—combining her love for higher education with her commitment to community.

What does being a Diplomat mean to you?

Being a Diplomat means actively taking steps towards the betterment of our communities, big and small. It means not being afraid to ask questions and embracing what connects us all.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the brand new Lombardo Welcome Center! Between current students, prospective families, and members of the community, you never know who you’ll get to interact with!

What is your favorite part about Lancaster?

My favorite part of Lancaster is how connected the community is. It’s so easy to find a little bit of everything in Lancaster while still experiencing the distinct feel and personality of the city. And I could talk about the food here for ages!
