Heather F Hoffmann Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health

Dr. Heather Hoffmann earned her medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center before joining the faculty at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. While practicing medicine in the world’s largest medical center, she served as residency program director in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She has publications on the topics of gynecologic tumors, deaths from the inappropriate use of restraints in nursing homes, the immunobiology of tuberculosis, and complications of solid organ transplantation. She is a freelance biomedical writer and a medical school admissions consultant at Kaplan Medical in NYC. She has done pro bono work for the American Lung Association and is a tobacco control advocate.
