As Brooks College House Director, Jake brings a wealth of experience, a passion for student engagement, and a demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive residential communities.
Prior to F&M, Jake served as Area Coordinator at Albright College, where he led a team of 15 Resident Assistants and provided oversight for 900 students across both first-year and upperclassman residential communities. His leadership in this role emphasized student success, intentional programming, and deep collaboration with campus partners, from Public Safety to the Counseling and Health Center.
Previously, at Bucknell University, Jake oversaw the innovative Affinity House Program, supporting 16 themed living-learning communities and 400 sophomore students in identity exploration and community engagement. He also served as a university hearing officer and managed multiple budgets.
Jake’s journey began at Shepherd University and Bismarck State College, where he developed expertise in RA training, student conduct, and community programming. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Placement Conference (MAPC) and is Mental Health First Aid Certified.
Jake holds a Master’s in College Student Development and Administration from Shepherd University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Shippensburg University.
