Mike Vitlip Director of Legal & STEM Professions Advising

Michael Vitlip, J.D. joined F&M as its first Director of Legal and STEM Professions Advising in February of 2018. In this newly defined role, he leads F&M's established pre-law advising system while implementing a robust STEM career advisement program, including F&M’s dual-degree engineering programs.

President of the Northeast Association for Pre-Law Advisors and a Board Member for the Pre-Law Advisors National Council, Michael is highly-regarded within the legal professions advising community. From 2012 until 2018, he led Drexel University’s pre-law advising program, while serving as the Head Coach for Drexel’s Mock Trial Program and teaching courses in constitutional law, legal ethics and comparative law. Prior to his time in higher education, Michael enjoyed a career in law, both in the private and public sectors.

Complementing his pre-law experience, Michael has advised a broad variety of students interested in careers in science. He served as the Interim Pre-Health Advisor for Drexel and also lent his advisement and programmatic support to Drexel’s Career Services Office.
