Biography

Moriah Stuart grew up in several countries, including Singapore, Switzerland, and Indonesia, before returning to the United States for college. She graduated from Wheaton College with a double major in Secondary Education and History/Social Sciences. Her passion for education led her to teach high school geography and history in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Durham, NC, before landing in Lancaster.

Moriah joined the F&M community in November 2025. She was inspired by the college’s strong international community and its commitment to global learning.

In her free time, Moriah loves listening to New York Times podcasts, visiting her nieces and nephews, and finding new recipes to cook alongside her husband.

What does being a Diplomat mean to you?

At its core, being a Diplomat means pursuing understanding. The world continues to grow more complex, and we need people who are committed to building deep connections with others and to lifelong learning.

What is your favorite part about Lancaster?

Lancaster is a big city in a small city’s footprint. It offers unique cultural experiences, amazing food options, and close access to major U.S. cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
