Biography

Dr. Saxton received her PhD from Johns Hopkins University in 2024 with concentrations in American Politics and Law. She researches political violence, law enforcement, and American state-building, and is presently working on her first book, titled Gold, Coal, and Oysters: The Development of American Police.
