Spring 2025 Career Center Programs

There are many available Center for Career and Professional Development programs for your students this semester. Here are just a few:

ASPIRE (Authentic Success and Possibility In Reach for Everyone) Registration Open for the Class of 2028!

ASPIRE is a seminar program, on Mondays, specifically for first-year students who want to experience the following:

  • Exploring personal interests, strengths and values through guided activities and assessments
  • Researching career options related to personal interests, strengths and values
  • Discussing major and minor declaration as well as curricular and extracurricular opportunities
  • Learning about career-related opportunities and strategies for designing your path forward at F&M
  • Creating and presenting a professional action plan for your next 3 years at F&M
  • Connecting with similarly-minded students in the Class of 2028

Wednesday, Jan. 29

7 - 8:15 p.m.

Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. for F&M's hallmark student-alumni networking event, hosted virtually by the Center for Career & Professional Development and the Office of Alumni Engagement. Connect directly with our alumni around the world to learn about different career industries and opportunities!

Coming Soon: Teaching Your Student to Articulate Their Off-Campus Study Experience

Tuesday, Feb. 4

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Your student will have a chance to reflect on their off-campus study experience to uncover the valuable skills and attributes they’ve developed — planning, decision-making, bravery, adaptability, problem-solving and cultural awareness. These are powerful assets to articulate as they explore the professional world!

Friday, Feb. 28

1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

The Career Center will host author Sahil Bloom on campus Friday, Feb. 28. He will talk with students about his new book, “The 5 Types of Wealth.” Students can meet the author, whose book Tim Cook (CEO of Apple) called, “A powerful call to action to think deeply about what lights you up — and a guide for how to build a life of meaning and purpose.” (Students can register for this free event now on Ampersand.)
