Classroom Activities
All classes are designed to give students maximal opportunities to practice Spanish. Our instructors are creative and innovative in their efforts to engage students in speaking the language in meaningful activities. Below are some examples of student projects.
Business Spanish
Five guest speakers from our local community came and spoke to our Business Spanish class in the Fall 2018. Henry Yaeger (Managing Principal (Banner Group - Lancaster, PA)) and Yesenia Blanco (Women's Business Center Program Manager (ASSETS - Lancaster, PA)) were among them. The conversations focused on a variety of topics ranging from general Business practices to culture to the local Hispanic/Latino community and their businesses. Students reflected on their conversations with the speakers and how the new information they learned could impact their future personal lives and professional careers.
