Rodney Morrison Named F&M’s Vice President for Enrollment Management
Rodney Morrison, a nationally recognized leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing institutional effectiveness, student success, and strategic growth, joins Franklin & Marshall today as vice president for enrollment management.
“I’m truly honored to join Franklin & Marshall and be part of this incredible community,” Morrison said. “I’ve known about F&M’s outstanding academic culture and tight-knit community since I was in high school. I believe strongly in the liberal arts education that F&M provides. Now, more than ever, the liberal arts can help solve problems and create opportunities for our graduates in the future. It’s a mission that I love.”
Morrison was most recently vice president for enrollment management at the University of Delaware. Before that, he was in senior enrollment and admissions leadership roles at Stony Brook University, Rutgers University–Camden, Mount Saint Mary College, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Under his leadership, Delaware and Stony Brook achieved record gains in enrollment quality metrics and improved national rankings while expanding pathways for first‑generation and underserved students.
“I’m truly honored to join Franklin & Marshall and be part of this incredible community.

for our graduates in the future. It’s a mission that I love.”
“Rodney’s strategic approach, collaborative spirit, and exceptional track record of success will be instrumental as we build on our momentum and shape the future of enrollment at F&M,” said President Andrew Rich. “He understands that enrollment work is ultimately about people—their aspirations and their potential—and is excited to recruit and inspire more Diplomats. I am thrilled to welcome Rodney to Franklin & Marshall College.”
In 2016, Morrison received the Bernard P. Ireland Recognition Award from the College Board’s Middle States Region—the organization’s highest individual honor. He was named one of The PIE Live’s Top Voices in North America in 2023. Pie Live connects more than 350 international education leaders who come together to share insights, tackle challenges, and build partnerships.
Morrison says he believes in a data‑driven approach to decision‑making, ensuring that policies and practices align with institutional mission, equity and measurable outcomes. He also wants to “lean in” on F&M’s history and values, and create partnerships across campus to strengthen student recruitment and retention.
“We need to tout our success. How has F&M launched graduates to successful lives and careers?” Morrison said. “Let’s talk about our values, and the personalized experience students receive here. We need to make those connections with prospective students and their families. At a bigger institution, you might be just a number. You won’t get lost at F&M.”
Morrison, a first-generation college graduate, earned his bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Rochester. In 1990, he was a member of the Yellowjackets’ NCAA Division III men’s basketball championship team. He later earned a master’s degree in education and a certificate in business management at Rochester.
As he joins the College, Morrison says he will be listening to ideas to strengthen student recruitment and retention.
“I have an open-door policy,” he says. “I love to hear ideas from everyone. There’s good stuff happening at F&M. Let’s talk about how we make that better.”
Morrison is married with three children.
