How are True Blue Weekend dates determined?

ALMA MATER
We hail thee, Alma Mater, our gallant

With one accord, in deed and word, as sons and

We honor thy traditions, and those who’ve

We love each hall and building, thy campus
stretching long,

REUNION CLASSES
We are excited to be welcoming back and celebrating all Reunion Classes ending in 5 and 0 this year at True Blue Weekend!

SMOKING POLICY
In order to promote the health, safety, comfort and well-being of all members of the College community, F&M prohibits smoking and lighted smoking materials everywhere on campus. This includes all athletic events and private and public spaces.

SUSTAINABILITY
F&M is committed to serving as a leader in building a sustainable world. Here are a few initiatives you will notice during True Blue Weekend:

Bicycles - In 2021, the College was awarded a Silver certificate as a Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists. See the bicycle repair station at Williamson lot, the Lancaster Bike Share station, F&M bike loan bicycles (over 100 now!) and the new bike lanes on streets near campus.

Electric Vehicles - The College recently purchased three electric vehicles for use by our tradespeople. And if you have your own electric vehicle you can charge it at no cost at the stations located at the entrance to Tylus Field as well as the North Museum parking lot!

Green roofs and solar panels - Five buildings on campus have green vegetative roofs to reduce stormwater runoff as well as carbon dioxide emissions. Note the solar panels on Hackman and the Sustainability House, and try out our new solar picnic tables where you can charge your phone! All help reduce fossil-fuel consumption and greenhouse gas production.

Grounds - Note the native plantings around the Franklin & Marshall Center for the Sustainable Environment. Many of the plants support pollinators such as bees, and they all require less maintenance and fewer chemicals than grass and non-native species. Also, see the rain gardens around Roschel College House and in the Weis College House parking lot. These replenish groundwater and help to reduce runoff from storms, as do the permeable asphalt lots at the Weis and the Admission parking lots. North campus, behind the ASFC, now has wildflower fields. And if you venture out to Baker Campus, note the employee organic vegetable gardens!

Waste Disposal - Please participate in the College’s recycling program during your time on campus.  Place plastic bottles, metal cans and glass bottles and cans as well as corrugated cardboard in recycling bins or dumpsters. Every other kind of waste should go into trash containers.  Thank you for keeping the campus clean and sustainable!

Temperature and Energy - All thermostats are set between 74 and 76 degrees during the summer to help lower F&M’s energy consumption. Practically all lights on campus, indoors and out, are energy-efficient LEDs. Much of the College's purchased electricity comes from renewable sources.

Water bottles and water filling stations - Bring your reusable water bottle and use the filling stations across campus, just like F&M students do.

TRANSPORTATION

Golf Cart Transportation
Transportation via golf carts is available throughout campus for those who need assistance. Feel free to request help from True Blue Weekend student volunteers.
Hours Available:

TRUE BLUE WEEKEND
Save the Date! True Blue Weekend 2026 will be celebrated Oct. 23 – 25.  Alumni, families, faculty, staff and friends are encouraged to attend. Alumni with class years ending in 1 or 6 will celebrate milestone reunions.

WEBSITE RESOURCES
The F&M alumni and parents websites are a great resource for details regarding upcoming alumni and parent events, volunteer opportunities, campus news, alumni benefits and services, and alumni association activities. Add these F&M alumni webpages to your favorites: fandm.edu/alumni and fandm.edu/parents-and-families.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
Franklin & Marshall College provides a guest wireless network for short-term access that is accessible to campus guests with compatible wireless devices. This network uses a self-registering service similar to what you might find at a hotel or coffee shop. The wireless network is isolated from our secure campus network, and therefore some computing resources cannot be used when you are connected to the guest WiFi.

FandM-Guest
Simply agree to the terms of service, and you will be connected for up to eight hours. If you need additional time, you will need to agree again to the terms of service.

Eduroam
If you are affiliated with another institution that uses Eduroam and are using your wireless device in an area of the campus that has access to F&M’s network, we recommend that you connect to the eduroam wireless network.

For questions or issues related to this service, please contact or visit the ITS Help Desk located on the first floor, Martin Science Library (Building #22 on the campus map).
