Welcome! Class of 2027 from Franklin & Marshall College on Vimeo.
Franklin & Marshall’s Class of 2027 took its first collective walk around campus during
the Lux et Lex walk Aug. 29.
Lux et Lex – Light and Law – is the College’s motto found inscribed on the metal arch spanning
Klauder-Apple Walkway.
As the Old Main bells rang out, the 560 students passed under the archway’s golden
letters and were greeted by a cascade of bubbles, cheering and welcoming signs. Faculty
and staff lined walkways on campus to applaud the incoming class.
The Lux et Lex walk began in 2020, making it a relatively new F&M tradition. Incoming
students complete the walk to begin their first semester and pass under the arch in
the opposite direction days before their Commencement.
