F&M Launches Partnership with Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College for Scholarship Program in Policy, Tech, and Arts Graduate Programs
Franklin & Marshall College (F&M) and Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy today announced a new partnership to provide pathways for F&M students into high-demand graduate programs in public policy, technology, and the arts, offering a meaningful tuition support and access to industries including government, technology, cybersecurity, the arts, and entertainment.
Through this shared initiative, up to 10 F&M graduates admitted to Heinz College’s master’s degree programs annually will receive scholarships that reduce tuition by at least 30% each semester. F&M graduates will also be eligible for consideration for additional merit-based scholarship support up to 100%.
“This exciting new partnership strengthens postgraduate options for Franklin & Marshall alumni, expanding access to the top-ranked master’s degree programs offered by Heinz College,” said Sunita Gupta Kramer '92, F&M provost and dean of the faculty.
Heinz College is an internationally recognized institution that leads at the intersection of people, policy, and technology. F&M graduates enrolled at Heinz College will be able to leverage their liberal arts experience and foundation of strong analytical, ethical, and problem-solving skills to tackle complex policy and technology challenges impacting the private and public sectors.
“We’re excited to partner with Franklin & Marshall to create new pathways for talented students to advance their education and prepare for careers that drive innovation and societal impact," said Kirsten Martin, Dean of Heinz College.
The collaboration expands postgraduate pathways for F&M students seeking advanced degrees and will apply to all Heinz College master's degree programs, including:
- Master of Arts Management (MAM)
- Master of Entertainment Industry Management (MEIM)
- Master of Information Systems Management (MISM)
- Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Systems Management (AIM)
- Master of Science in Health Care Analytics (MSHCA)
- Master of Science in Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM)
- Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM)
The scholarship is effective for any F&M graduate seeking to apply to Heinz College in the Fall 2026 application cycle and beyond. The award will be made at the time of admission and no separate application is necessary.
The latest partnership with Heinz College adds to F&M’s growing list of participating degree partner institutions.
