Contestants in the Franklin & Marshall College Solo/Concerto Competition must be fully enrolled students at Franklin & Marshall College at both the time of the competition and the time of the performance with the Franklin & Marshall Orchestra. Both singers and instrumentalists are eligible.
The submission deadline for the 2021 Music Composition Contest is March 1 by 12 noon.
Any original musical composition by a full-time F&M student may be submitted; one per student is allowed.
The award for the best composition will be presented at the Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 30.
Students who wish to give an official Senior Recital should consult with their studio instructor, who will in turn consult with the Chair of the Music Department, representing the other full-time members of the Department.
